- A 160 person, 33 country forum was held in Melbourne on global rheumatic heart disease control in May 2014.
- Five targets were discussed in detail by break-out groups and an expert panel.
- A roadmap for achieving rheumatic heart disease control was proposed and structured around 5 targets and 5 threads.
